This policy explains what information Bet With Limits collects when you use betwithlimits.com, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how we use cookies. We collect as little as we can.
Who we are
Bet With Limits (“we”, “us”) runs the website betwithlimits.com. For any privacy question, email hello@betwithlimits.com.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to include. We use it only to reply to you.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you joined. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Outbound clicks. When you click a “Visit site” link we record which site, which page you clicked from, and the time. We store a one-way, daily-changing code instead of your IP address, so the record can’t identify you.
- Analytics (only with your permission). If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics records anonymous information about how pages are used.
What we never collect
Our tools — the budget planner, cost-of-play calculator and check-in — run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or anyone else. We don’t ask for, or store, any information about your gambling, finances or health.
Cookies
When you first visit, a banner asks which optional cookies you allow. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| bwl_sess | Essential | Keeps forms secure and shows messages after a form is sent. | Until you close your browser |
| bwl_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choices. | 12 months |
| bwl_age | Essential | Remembers that you confirmed you’re 18 or over, so we don’t ask on every page. | 12 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics (optional) | Google Analytics — counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Only set if you allow analytics cookies. | Up to 2 years |
| _gcl_*, _fbp | Marketing (optional) | Measure the results of our advertising. Only set if you allow marketing cookies. | Up to 3 months |
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, optional cookies stay off unless you switch them on yourself.
Gambling sites you visit from here
When you follow a link to a gambling site, that site’s own privacy policy applies. If you join, the site may tell us that someone joined through our link so that we can be paid a commission — it does not share your name or account details with us.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site: our web host, our email provider (to send replies and newsletters) and, only with your consent, Google Analytics. We don’t sell your information.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Click records: anonymous totals kept for reporting; individual records deleted after 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@betwithlimits.com and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is for adults aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of the page.
